The AIDS Reader is designed to provide clinicians with practical, scientifically sound information on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of HIV disease and related conditions. The goal of the Journal is to help clinicians improve the quality of life and treatment options for their patients by bridging the gap between the specialist and the primary care physician.
The AIDS Reader is the best-read HIV-focused journal, according to PERQ/HCI’s syndicated readership audits Focus and MediaChek. Its circulation of 25,759 reaches the full range of physicians managing HIV-positive patients today, including ID specialists; primary care physicians, pediatricians, and ob/gyns who prescribe relevant products; medical oncologists and hematologists; and special audiences, such as medical directors of correctional institutions and physicians, NPs, and PAs in HIV/AIDS care centers.
The AIDS Reader is a monthly, fully blinded peer-reviewed journal. Most papers are invited by the Editor, and all are physician written. The AIDS Reader is indexed in MEDLINE and Current Contents/Clinical Science.
